FACTS, REALITIES AND POLICY NEEDS
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
Video Gaming has progressively become a workplace issue faced by all organizations regardless of size or location. This presetnation will provide a look at today's facts and realities about Video Gaming and The Workplace and at policy needs that, 50 years ago, were uneceesary because they were not conceivable.
Today, they are both a reality and a requirement.
PRESENTATION OBJECTIVES:
1. Identify and explain the importance of Workplace Policies addressing Video Gaming for both sides of theEAP Dual Client relationship.
2. Present and discuss some Video Gaming developmental issues including Genres, Sub-Genres, Social Video Gaming, eSports and the Convergence of Video Gaming and Gambling including Social Casinos.
3. Examine and discuss Positive and NEgative workplace impacts including Gamification, Cloud Gaming, Human Resources and Gaming Policies, and Gaming Disorder Risks and Realities in the Workplace.

Doug LaBelle, LCSW, ICGC II, CEAP is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Illinois and Wisconsin, International Certified Gambling Counselor II, Certified Employee Assistance Professional and a Trainer with over 34 years of experience as an administrator, clinician, trainer and presenter. Doug has worked with organizations, groups, individuals, and families impacted by Behavioral Health Disorders including Substance Use Disorder, Gambling Disorder and Gaming Disorder. Prior to becoming a Social Worker, Doug worked 16 years for a large Insurance Organization in various Supervisor and Management positions including as Manager of Training and Development. He is currently working as an Independent Consultant, EAP Professional, Presenter and Trainer with a specialty in Gambling, Gambling Disorder, Gaming and Gaming Disorder. In addition, he has developed and presented various training programs for the Wisconsin Council on Problem Gambling for over 15 years.
