SUBMIT YOUR PRESENTATION

NIEAPA gathers submissions for educational CEU presentations during the final quarter of each calendar year, for the following year's programming. Each year, NIEAPA’s Conference and Program Committees strive to offer a remarkable lineup of education featuring programs that are both inspirational and thought provoking for our attendees. Submissions are reviewed in late December/early January.

CHAPTER MEETINGS

  • Five meetings per year
  • Alternating virtual and in-person
  • 9:00am-12:00pm CT (October 9:00am-1:00pm)
  • Approx. 50-100 attendees, depending on topic
  • CEUs per presentation: 2.0-3.0

ANNUAL CONFERENCE

  • Once yearly, in early June
  • In-Person
  • 8:00am-5:00pm CT, individual sessions 1-2 hours
  • Approx. 200-250 attendees
  • CEUs per presentation: 1.0-2.0

Our events are an excellent opportunity to connect with the EAP community and raise awareness of topics or issues that you believe the community would be interested in learning about. Make your plans to submit your proposal to be a presenter in 2023 and contribute to the growing body of knowledge of our industry.

NIEAPA CEU Presentation Submission Criteria

Please be prepared to include the following in your submission:

  • Speaker Contact Information
  • Description of Presentation
  • Learning Objectives 
  • Brief Outline 
  • Speaker Resume 
  • Speaker Bio
  • Speaker Headshot

Presentations should focus on one of these three domains:

Domain I. EA Program Design, Administration and Management
This domain includes work organization and the administrative side of EAP management and design and coordination of EAP services with related services such as work-life.

Domain II. EA Services to the Organization
This domain includes the provision of internal services to the work organization: strategic, operational, and change management issues, communication with organizational stakeholders, and consultation to the organization about HR and EA-related issues and policies, etc.

Domain III. EA Services to Employees and Family Members
This domain focuses on employee issues: addictions, personal, emotional, and psychological problems. It includes knowledge and skills in providing clinical work, using standard interview and assessment techniques, referral of clients to appropriate treatment resources, providing effective short-term problem resolution services, etc.
