    Effective Strategies for Therapists Working with Couples Facing Sex Addiction and Betrayal (2.0 CEU)

    This talk will explore approaches for therapists treating couples impacted by sex addiction and infidelity.

    KEY TOPICS INCLUDE:

    • Assessment and treatment planning for sex addiction in a couple context. 
    • Addressing trauma responses in the betrayed partner.
    • Rebuilding trust and intimacy after betrayal.
    • Managing disclosure processes.
    • Integrating individual and couples therapy modalities. 
    • Navigating common challenges in treatment.
    Attendees will gain practical tools to help couples heal from addiction and betrayal trauma, restore their relationships or learn to move on from the relationship and develop a healthy sexuality. Case examples and opportunities for Q&A will be provided.
     

    PRESENTATION OBJECTIVES:

    • Identify critical diagnostic criteria for sex addiction and its impact on couple dynamics.
    • Apply evidence-based strategies for addressing betrayal trauma in the partner of a sex addict.
    • Demonstrate effective techniques for facilitating disclosure processes and rebuilding partner trust. 
    • Integrate individual and couples therapy approaches in treating sex addiction within a relationship context. 
    • Develop tailored treatment plans that simultaneously address addiction recovery and relationship healing. 

    PRESENTER

    Lisa Lackey, LCPC

    Lisa Lackey, MS, MA, LCPC, CSAT, is a renowned trauma therapist, addiction specialist, and transformational leader. As co-founder of Insideout Living Inc., she has pioneered innovative approaches to mental health treatment since 2008. Lisa's expertise spans trauma, addiction, complicated grief, and professional burnout, with a particular focus on the unique challenges faced by women.

    A sought-after consultant and speaker, Lisa leads trainings that enhance competency among mental health professionals. Her therapeutic toolkit includes EMDR and specialized group therapies. Lisa's background as a pastor informs her holistic approach to healing, addressing physical, psychological, and spiritual dimensions of well-being.

    Lisa holds master's degrees from National-Louis University and Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary. Her professional credentials include Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, National Board Certified Counselor, and Certified Sex Addiction Therapist. She is an active member of several professional associations, including the International Association of Trauma and Addiction Professionals.

    Through her dynamic workshops, clinical practice, and thought leadership, Lisa Lackey continues to drive innovation in trauma-informed, culturally competent mental healthcare.

    Instructions

    You will make selections within the registration form detailing which items you wish to purchase. All registrants will need to provide the following at the time of registration:

    • Name, email address, and phone number of the primary contact with whom you wish NIEAPA to communicate regarding the sponsorship
    •  The name of the organization, group, or individual in whose name the sponsorship is being purchased
    •  A sponsor logo image file; .jpg or .png format preferred
    •  Any social media handles used by the sponsor (e.g., Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.)
    • A short piece of "boilerplate" copy describing your organization for promotional usage; no more than 150 words, please
    • To add additional guests at the promotional Sponsor/Exhibitor rate of $120, you will use the "Add guest" button during registration and enter their name and email address. You may also add guests to your registration later by contacting us directly at nieapa@corpevent.com
