An Introduction To Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (2.0 CEU) Friday, February 21, 2025 • 9:00am - 12:00pm
This session will help clinicians better understand the Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) theoretical model by reviewing the six core therapeutic process of ACT which make up the "Hexaflex". These six core processes include contacting the present moment, defusion, acceptance, self-as-context, values, and committed action. Clinicians will learn how to use the ACT Matrix, developed by Kevin Polk, and the ACT Life Map, developed by Timothy Gordon, as a way to introduce the six core processes with their clients in individual or group therapy spaces.
