BURNOUT: Healthy Coping Techniques to Reclaim Your Energy Before It's Too Late (2.0 CEU)
Friday, August 16, 2024 • 9:00am - 12:00pm

We have been taught to ‘work hard, play hard’ in order to get ahead in our careers and to have all the good things in life. To achieve, we must believe – in the work ethic and to always be available. And we expect to be rewarded, with ‘stuff’ – a job title, money, the house, car, family, prestige. When we work hard, we are entitled to play hard – in fact, we are encouraged to take the edge off, to chill out, to let our hair down – usually with the use of alcohol, drugs, or another ‘it’ of the moment, always chasing the latest ‘it’.

PRESENTATION OBJECTIVES:

  • Participants will be able to define 3 types of stress
  • Participants will be able to demonstrate an exercise to identify stress in the body
  • Participants will be able to describe 6 influencers impacting our daily stress load
  • Participants will be able to demonstrate 2 healthy coping techniques to reduce stress
  • Participants will be able to define resiliency
